Ideathon for Imagine Cup 2025 Aspirants held

A Grand Success: Ideathon for #ImagineCup 2025

This year we took it to a whole new level. The Ideathon for #ImagineCup 2025 was big success! With over 120 participants from 70+ academic institutions across Nepal, we shattered our previous records and set a new benchmark for innovation and collaboration.

Stellar Lineup and Engaging Sessions

We owe a huge part of this success to our esteemed keynote speaker, Md Yousup Faruqu, Managing Director at Microsoft for Nepal, Bangladesh, and Bhutan. His insights set the tone for an event packed with inspiration and learning. Special thanks to our amazing lineup of speakers who ensured the sessions were nothing less than captivating. The feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, and we couldn’t be happier!

A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Team

A big round of applause to Nirajan Acharya and Kritika Subedi for their warm emceeing that made everyone feel welcome and seamlessly introduced our session presenters. Special gratitude to Jeewan Kumar Bhatta and Sandeep Kumar Jha for not only introducing the Nepal Cloud Professionals (NCP) community but also coordinating the flawless execution of the event.

We are immensely grateful to:

  • Pradeep Kandel, Founder of Nepal Cloud Professionals and Microsoft MVP, for his illuminating session on leveraging Azure for Imagine Cup projects.
  • Laviz Pandey, a former Imagine Cup finalist, for his practical tips and tricks on building a winning Imagine Cup project team.
  • Awan Shrestha, another former finalist, for sharing his valuable experiences as a past winner.
  • Nadika Poudel, a former finalist, for her session on leveraging AI to elevate Imagine Cup projects.
  • Diwas Shrestha, Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador, for leading the brainstorming and mentorship sessions through our engaging Discord platform.
  • Khem Raj Shrestha, Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador, for his exceptional technical support and ensuring the event’s strong online presence.

None of this would have been possible without our dedicated NCP 2025 Volunteers Board, who worked tirelessly to ensure the event ran like clockwork. We are equally thankful to our co-organizing partners—Microsoft Learn Student Ambassadors (MLSA), CSIT Association of Nepal (CSITAN), and Microsoft Most Valuable Professionals. A special shoutout to #TheBritishCollege for generously supporting us with the venue once again.
